I knew from the moment I talked with Alex that she and Colby were wonderful! They click together! She told me right away that texts are the best way to connect, and that is so true! Since last year, we’ve texted back and forth, full-on conversations! She was so sweet and texted me when she said ‘yes to the dress’ and throughout their wedding planning process. From their engagement session at the Capitol and through everything, they truly are one of the sweetest couples! So when the actual day arrived, I was beyond excited, plus at one of my favorite venues and with some of my amazing wedding vendor friends, it was a great day! I’ve said this before; I love to listen to the stories – the ones that build the roots that we live today! Alex shared that Colby’s grandfather (Poppy!) was actually a teacher at the same high school that her dad attended – how awesome is that your daughter would end up marrying one of your teacher’s grandsons years later! It truly is a small world! Please take a moment to look through and see more of their beautiful fall wedding!
Her dad’s high school yearbook where his grandfather signed it – the feather and necklace-was from the special ceremony during their rehearsal dinner.
They incorporated her mom’s wedding gown using the fabric to make Alex a clutch and mask for her wedding day.
There’s nothing like a father-daughter first look! And the sweet personalized cufflinks she gave him as a gift.
Two stories, Colby’s anticipation knowing she’s close behind him, and Alex walking towards Colby – I love this look of the moments right before they see each other.
Their dog baby Koda made an appearance and walked down the aisle, but the excitement and kisses were all over the place when Koda saw Colby!
Gorgeous ceremony site as always, Rick’s Flowers work is beautiful.
Greek crown ceremony to incorporate part of her culture and a very proud dad!
Colby’s brother Canyon performed the ceremony – this was ‘take two’ as he forgot to have them exchange rings in the first one, and it was so funny and sweet! Plus, they got two first kisses!
They used the same cake topper her parents had on their wedding day!
Colby and Alex,
Than you for trusting me to capture your wedding day but more than anything, thank you for treating me like family! All the love to both of you!
