This past Saturday Tyler and Ed became Mr. & Mrs. at Mount Vernon Inn. I always love photographing weddings there, the history of the venue and the property is one of my faves. Mount Vernon holds a very special place for Tyler as she works there. We started the day at The Alexandrian in Old Town. Always enjoy this hotel and they are pet friendly which was so important to Tyler as her fur baby Toby would be making an appearance! Tyler and Ed chose to keep their colors to different shades of purple with grey accents and it was stunning! When I walked into the room I immediately felt like we were with friends! All the ladies were singing (they all have incredible voices and I found out of their Choir involvement – which makes total sense, these ladies could sing!). Surrounded by her mom and grandmother, all of her best friends and of course Toby the getting ready part was so fun!
The rest of the day followed in the same relaxed feel with every detail accounted for. Tyler and Ed kept their day traditional in many ways, no first look between the bride and groom, we did do a first look with dad… oh my… tears flowed… but it was also filled with other special and unique moments. Tyler serenaded Ed once they were introduced at the reception… the photos say it all!
Toby made his appearance and had his ‘tux’ for his photos!
Such an emotional first look between Tyler and her dad. They exchanged gifts and Tyler read her mom a note she had written….
A few moments with grandma (the Matriarch as Tyler calls her!) this sweet sweet lady… just couldn’t hide her loving emotions.
No first look but they did take a few minutes to say ‘hello’ and hold hands!
So glad we had some dry time to get a few photos of the group and them outside!
Oh and this stunning cake by Gateau…. such talent and her cakes taste as good as they look!
By far the coolest place cards ever, custom ‘scrolls’ that you could hang on the side of your glass!
As soon as we walked in and I saw this painting I knew the talent behind it. Our good friend who’s a wedding artist, Brittany created this beauty as their guest book. It was gorgeous.
The end to a perfect day with sparklers!
Tyler & Ed…. Honored to have been your wedding photographer and I know you will enjoy 10 amazing days in Hawaii!! xoxo
