I think it’s funny – I began writing this post on December 31st. Yet here we are January 21st, and I’m just now finishing it. But I love these recap posts! They make me laugh and relive moments forgotten – and make me feel blessed with all the wonderful things that occurred with Photography by Marirosa! I had the privilege and honor of photographing 27 weddings from Virginia to Maryland to DC, plus Florida and Colorado! Wedding photography is my business, but my couples need to understand the importance that they are in the life of their photographer, at least in my life. I value and remember everyone. In 2019 I also documented so many memories – 40 sessions from maternity to newborn to family sessions of in-home sessions, add to that about 27 engagement sessions it was a hectic year. Plus, the behind-the-scenes photos crack me up, and I love those with my couples. I hope you enjoy this post as much as I did, putting it together!
Peeks from each wedding!
Always try to get a photo with my couples, always in the middle, always the shortest!
This was a first – and they crack me up! I mean they wanted to do this photo – PLUS he brought a sword….yes a sword to include in some photos. FYI – don’t hand me the sword – you know I’m going to have way to much fun!
That time I was determined NOT to be the shortest – stool helped! Plus, when previous PMB couples or friends are guests/part of the weddings – must document it!
So much fun with these two! At one of my fave venues Salamander!
When selfies are the way to go at the end of the reception, and there is a lifesize cut out of the groom!
These ladies rock! Leslie (carrier of my bag, grabber or lenses, lip reader, and veil tosser), Rachel (my sidekick for more than 80 weddings at this point, traveled to Colorado with me, deals with me on wedding days)
Seeing former bride at a Marc Anthony concert, attending a brides baby shower, and seeing another PBM bride – way to much fun!
Some of my best friends in this crazy wedding industry!
Heading to the engagement session and the couples rescue pitbull decides his 80+ pounds don’t matter when you are his pillow!
Anything for the photo and to realize I have a helper imitating me!
The one time my couple sang Hamilton songs to me – and the bride asked Rachel to cut her tulle train since she didn’t have it made to bustle and wanted to party!
We are so much more than photographers – at times, we are servers, balancers of glasses (which Gabbie was not successful at), shoe fixer, and more!
Bottom Left – “Yes, I am going to stand on the chair and the ledge, it’s all good I got this!” – Bottom Right – Not sure what Rachel was doing but it seems like she was smokin’ ‘something’ 🙂
The one time you’re 15 years old indeed does the assistant role entirely! And ROCKS IT!
Thankful for friends like John from A2Z that let me stand on their equipment to get the photos – looked down to find my half-eaten meal – and disregard the shoes, but I slip on Rothy’s during every reception!
I love seeing and reliving all the memories! Here is to 2020 – and four weeks before the season kicks off on Feb. 22!
